Hand Press Machine

In the fall of 2015 I took a class called Elements of Mechanical Design (ME7510). This class consists of modeling, designing and integrating machine elements such as gears, pulleys, screws, bolt and mechanisms. To analyze and design machine elements in machines, we also studied the stresses, fatigue failure and loads.

The final project of this class was to build a mechanical device. Our group chose to design a hand press machine and a stamping dies to produce standard washers. To design this project we needed to take care of the standard dimensions of the washers and the machine elements, such as bearing, screws, nuts and gasket because we needed to estimate the expenses.
